Law Day Ceremony will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018, 9:00 am in the Monroe County Courthouse. At that time we will honor our 2018 Liberty Bell Award receipent as well as our Creativity Contest award winners.

Creative Writing and Visual Art Project winners will be announced and celebrated at the Law Day Ceremonies on Friday, April 27, 2018. Rules for submitting projects are due by April 10, 2018

First Place - Kate Martin for her video "A Woman's Tale". Ms Martin attends Pocono Mountain West High School. To view Ms. Martin's

Second Place - Kristen Batstone for her short story "Love is Love". Ms Batstone attends Pleasant Valley High School.
Third Place - Yasmine Brooks for her poster and poem "Loving V Virginia. Ms Brooks attends Pocono Mountain East High School.
Law Day Fantasy Trials were held before an audience of local fifth and six grade students. This year the theme is "The Avengers!" If your school is intereted in attending the Trials, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Last year the theme was 'Batman Lego'. The villian, the Joker, was on trial having been charged with Arson, Conspiracy to Commit Arson and Possession of Weapons of Mass
Destruction. The jury of his peers found him guilty on all counts. President Judge Worthington sentenced the Joker to 100 years
The 36th "Race Judicata" will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018. The 5-mile race and 5k Fun-Run/Walk race proceeds will benefit the Valor Clinic Foundation. Race registration is now open.

County Bar Association continues to support our community by covering all expenses.

Mock Trials – This year's Mock Trial Invitational Saturday was being held on Saturday, November 18, 2017. We were hosted by Pocono Mountain West High School.
Schools interested in participating in the Invitational must preregister with the Monroe County Bar Association by contacting MCBA at email@example.com or calling 570.424.7288.
Each year the Mock Trial committee crafts a new and unique case for the students to gain additional competition practice before the statewide competition begins.
In 2017 the case was the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania vs Kit Snow. This unique case has been written specifically for the 2017 Mock Trial Invitational. Should you have questions regarding the case, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
